Tenryuji (天龍寺, Tenryūji) is the most important temple in Kyoto's Arashiyama district. It was ranked first among the city's five great Zen temples, and is now registered as a world heritage site.
it's actually 500yen for the garden and 100 more for the temple, last tipper got lost in translation. You can chill in the temple's tatami, so it is absolutely worth the 600 for everything.
Wonderful temple which used to be the emperor’s palace. Beautiful view with the autumn leaves falling. Entrance for the garden and temple is ¥800 per person. Come early to avoid crowd.
